Willie, I am leaving tomorrow and will be out of the country for a couple of weeks. Please take care of yourself and know that you are in my thoughts at this difficult time.

Willie, my sincerest condolences. I'm sitting here so annoyed with myself for not checking your blog during the week so apologies for not getting to the mass.

I remember both your parents hospitality every Saturday when 8 or 9 long haired louts would invade their kitchen to attend the "game" Bringing in his inventions and things he found, I still haven't figured out why or how he had the lamp post.

I think as a child you don't realise how important your parents are until you're an adult and when you're an adult no matter what you say or do for your parents I don't know if you can ever repay them for what they did for you.

May Thomas rest in peace.

Nigel, you've made me smile -- I'd forgotten about the lamp post! Mind you, as I don't remember what he did with it, there's a possibility it may still turn up as we go though the myriad strange effects he's left behind...

I'm not creative when it comes to diy so I can't really imagine there's a lot of things one can do with a lamp post aside from the obvious! I look forward to finding out.
