I was pleasantly suprised when I read Kris Kristofferson wrote "Help Me Make It Through The Night ". Many artists have sung that song over the years. Kris is a great friend of Nelson.
Well, it's ("She is Gone") listed as Copyright 1978 by Willie Nelson. No idea though if he had someone special in mind, but by the feeling of it he must have.
I'm reminded of the comment in the foreword that Kris Kristofferson wrote in the book "A man called Cash" . After June Carter Cash's funeral someone shook Kris's hand and said "I really like your singing." When he left, Johnny Cash said to Kris, (to whom he gave his first break as a young performer): "Well, that's one anyway."

Wonder did he write that song for a reason, or did he write it at all. ?
