Surf's up

This image sums up the events of my homecoming today, when, dragging my tongue behind me in the stifling heat, I threw my briefcase to the floor, hurled the office shirt off, and reached for the freezer to get an ice-cream treat.

In two seconds I was swimming for my life.

Who was cooking yesterday and rummaged in the freezer? Who put one of the drawers back in improperly? Who didn't notice the door wasn't closed properly?

Who do you think...?

Was it the poor pruned up balloon boarder, desperately seeking one last respite from the unbearable heat? Awwww...

Bugger balloons. I note today a distressing mold-like colour appearing inside my freezer. The dreaded all-day cleanout may now be unavoidable.

I use a hair dryer...things melt while I'm busy elsewhere. We also have a smallish heat gun that would work in about 10 minutes if I wanted to pay attention that raptly. I'm never THAT engrossed in defrosting. But a proper defrost is a penny saved/earned at the same time. LOL

With the price of electricity, we don't use hair driers for defrosting. Smoke would begin to emerge from the meter. So far, we remain unpoisoned, so maybe we'll get away with it.
