Peed my pants. Again.

To add to my recent catalogue of minor mishaps, I was walking into The Square shopping centre in Tallaght this evening when I stood on a loose paving slab. It didn't tip me over, but it had a void underneath filled with rainwater and whatever way it sank into the space beneath on my footfall, it made the perfect substitute for someone throwing a bucketful of water at me. The right leg of my (naturally, they would be) pale coloured trousers got the full brunt. So I now had one dry, light-coloured trouserleg, and one obviously dark and wet trouserleg. Grinning and bearing it, I fixed my glance steelily ahead and marched into the Square. The people coming towards me didn't betray any emotion, so perhaps looking like someone who'd peed his pants is now de rigeur, I simply missed the announcement. So I then looked down and there's a huge flapping bootlace draggling along from beneath the hem of my dry leg. As I bent over to tie it, I would not have been in the least bit surprised if my evening concluded with a huge big kick in the arse from a total stranger.

The wet leg dried in the half hour waiting in the wind for the bus.

I know this is not a comment to the last post but bear with me. Just a little story.

Happy Tuesday.

Am I mad ? The kids are settled in their own homes now, I am on a mission at clearing out to make minimul bedrooms. The old idea our Mother's had is going out of my head. we DO NOT keep "things"in case we need them.
I came across newspapers, a small bundle, of death's of famous people, Re : John Lennon, George Harrison, Princess Di. Roy Orbinson, Les out of Mud who died a while ago and a few other more :interesting" people. The newspapers are all tied together and neat, so it must have been my idea that they would be ok to read in years to come. Why did I just not cut out the clippings ? Why did I keep the whole newspaper ? I thought again ..........would I keep them ? NO, just look up the net if need be, but still I am going to feel bad about throwing out some history. It is probably only history to me. Would my kids laugh when I'm gone to see such stuff I kept ?

Then again, I cam across a secured box which contained my kids writing and drawings from when they started school. I could not resist going trough them again. A smile on my face and thinking, I would never throw away such treasures. I spent an hour going through them.
That was well worth keeping.

Hi Philip, and thanks for posting. I love your photos and would recommend any visitor to browse your site. However, I've not seen one that really suits the WIDFIPOTP Blog, although perhaps the one I might choose would be http://www.philpankov.com/-/philpankov/detail.asp?photoID=1222863&cat=4828 I'll gladly re-visit your site from time to time and if something new appears that I particular crave for the Blog I will happily get in touch.
